50 years ago Terratest launched as the first Specialist Geotechnical Drilling firm in NSW and has been involved in Sydney’s geotechnical development ever since. Terratest has been engaged in a myriad of major projects that helped shape Sydney’s transport facilities, including; Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Anzac Bridge, the 3rd Runway at Sydney Airport, the Cross City Tunnel, the M5 motorway, the Great Western Highway upgrade, and the Hunter Expressway. We have also been engaged to provide Geotechnical Drilling services on development that has shaped the face of Sydney as a Tourist hub and an accommodating metropolis, including the Darling Harbour redevelopment, the Sydney Opera House refurbishment, the Hotel Intercontinental, Sydney Central Plaza, the Walsh Bay Wharf redevelopment, the redevelopment of Eveleigh rail yards into the CarriageWorks performance space, the new Westfield Super Centre, the Blue Mountains Skyway, and most recently the Barangaroo redevelopment.

As Environmental Site Investigations emerged in the late 1980’s Terratest was at the fore of Environmental drilling throughout Sydney. We have aided Environmental scientists in a broad range of contaminated site investigations, including Orica Plant - Botany, Brothersons Docks – Port Botany, Castlereagh Waste Depot, Union Carbide Plant – Rhodes, Carlton United Brewery, and the Homebush environmental investigations before the Olympic games.
